A special treat for you today as we have compiled 5 separate videos from Newton Abbot to Dawlish warren as we follow  LMS 46100 “Royal Scot” leading the Great Britain IX Tour on day 2 from Penzance to Bristol Temple Meads.

The header picture has been sent in by Mark and shows the Royal Scot on the viaduct as it approaches Dawlish Station.

The first Video has been sent in by Mark Upson who had this to say as the tour passed through Newton Abbot. – “Much busier at the station today! Here’s The Royal Scot passing Newton Abbot as I couldn’t make it down to the wall again.”

The second video is from Nick Campbell who managed to catch the Royal Scot at speed as it approached Teignmouth – Colin tells us that Nick was skiving off work to catch this for us! Many thanks Nick.

The third video is from our Blenheim cam and shows a slow approach into Dawlish.

Now for a couple of stills. First we have Erics shot from Blenheim followed by ours as Royal Scot gave a blast on the whistle.

And finally! Colins video as the Great Britain tour disappears from sight until next year.

A bit disappointing as I was hoping to see Royal Scot at speed but unfortunately it had caught up with the stopping train at the Warren and was having to slow down to a crawl. – Colin Campbell

Many thanks to all who have contributed, i think this could be one of our best compilations to date!
