The regular bulk cement train from Aberthaw in South Wales to Moorswater near Liskeard in Cornwall was running late this morning. It had been delayed for around two and a half hours because of a points failure in the Bristol-Bath area. The picture above was taken from the Rockstone  (Black) footbridge as it passed a couple of the “Orange army” at work along the sea wall. It will return with the unloaded tank wagons tomorrow around 2pm though it sometimes runs a little earlier. Colas 70802 being the locomotive this week.

A glorious morning for a stroll along the sea wall but not many taking it now the Easter Bank Holiday is over and the children are back at School. (Hurrah!)
