Yesterday in very poor weather and rough seas in what I believe was its first time of passing along the Dawlish sea wall was Europhoenix 37800. Presumably on a crew route learning run. The locomotive is on long term lease to the Rail operating group (ROG), a company who supply traction for the movement of non passenger carrying stock around the country. Whilst taking the footage from the San Remo camera I was surprised to see a cyclist not only ignoring the no cycling by-law but risking his life with the waves crashing over the wall. With the wall being otherwise deserted in the pouring rain his chances of survival should he have been washed off were rather slim.

On  a brighter note Nick recorded the 37’s return as it passed through Teignmouth station on its return from Laira depot at Plymouth on its way back to Taunton.
