The two power cars in “Retro” livery are currently on the same set of Mk3 coaches. Today on the 1A28 15.10 Plymouth – Paddington service 43002 “Sir Kenneth Grange”, who was the chief designer of the High speed train, leading the train with 43185 “Great Western” on the rear end were  recorded by Nick Campbell as it passed through Teignmouth station spot on time. It seems to be taking an awful long time for the station footbridge to be refurbished. The local residents had a letter from NR apologising for the noise they would make whilst the old footbridge was being dismantled and taken away during the night to be refurbished but the temporary bridge has been in place for many months now with the old footbridge still in situ. Below is Sir Kenneth looking a little workstained and is in the initial livery from their introduction in 1976.

 

The Intercity Swallow livery seen below on “Great Western” was introduced in 1987
